Something this evening really saddened me. After work I got on the free bus which would take me to the train station and encountered a long delay due to the traffic lights. The lights were stuck on red,waiting for a tram to go past resulting in the bus remaining stationary for several minutes. By waiting for the lights to turn green and therefore indicate that it was safe to continue the driver was subjected to abuse from the impatient commuters travelling with me. This gang mentality deeply angered me as the delay was out of the driver's control who was meerly doing his job, driving a bus for which we had not paid to use and keeping us safe. I wish that people had the strength to emphathise with someone, another human being rather than rush and cause aggression and upset for others.
